New Year's Resolutions!?

Hey everyone! I hope you had a great holiday season!

A powerful way to combat anxiety/depression is to set achievable goals and to gather a healthy sense of hope for the future.

So tell me, did you make any New Year’s Resolutions this year? What do you have to look forward to this year? How do you plan on going about fighting against the weight of the world?

Looking forward to hearing from you guys!

  1. Be sober all year from pain pills, Xanax, self harm, and pornography.

  2. Don’t allow myself to isolate (no turning off my phone, ignoring people’s messages, not listening to the people who support me and love me (and believing the lies that I’ve been fed in the past)

  3. Respond to support wall posts, as well as the real talk section in the discord more. Originally I set the goal at once a day, but I’m not sure if that’s healthy for me. As I know that right now I’m doing okay, but as school starts back up and work gets busier it might me a lot harder.

  4. To have $500 in my savings account by the end of 2019. Although for a lot of people that may not be a lot, it’s a big accomplishment for me. And I want to put the money aside so I can go and travel.

In 2019 I will still be focusing on my academic goals but I want to also pursue some personal ones. One of those is actually skateboarding. I grew up skateboarding and to me skateboarding is my anti-depressant. I made a list of tricks I hope to accomplish by the end of the year.
