After my wife of 29 years moved out I’m not sure how to heal. I mean we’ve got along great since, but I’m not any sort of priority. I feel it is so one sided and feel like giving up.

Oh man this sounds devastating. It’s hard to know exactly how you’re feeling, but I know that I’ve had similar experiences. For me there’s the question of what went wrong, the feeling of rejection, the anger at myself and the other person, and the sadness at a loss of something. I know you’re saying that you’re getting along great since she moved out and then adding a big “but…” after that, but I gotta say that I think its worth taking a look at the fact that you’re at least getting along now as a pretty impressive victory. It’s definitely not how it always works with people in these situations. Like I said, I can’t know the details of what is going on for you, but you sound like someone who can accept change even if you don’t like it and can roll with the punches. The punches still hurt, but being able to roll with them is how we survive. Thank you for sharing.
