I’m sad because today is my friend’s funeral. He lived a very long life, and it is time for him to rest, but this still hurts. The calling hours and funeral are in a few hours.
I never saw him sad or angry; he always had a smile on his face and a positive attitude. Maybe the smiles were hiding some sort of sadness, but I’ll never know.
He was always so kind, would always say “hi” to you and say your name.
He had been a part of our Choir at Church; he’d play the guitar. Our regular accompanist will be playing the man’s guitar today. The Choir, including myself, will be singing for our friend.
I’m going to miss him. He was a good man.
I’m so sorry for your loss! I hope your friend is resting in peace and that one day you’ll get to meet again. Stay strong!
