@heartsupport I struggle with those monsters all the time unfortunately I’d love some encouragement please!
I’m so glad you reached out! I’m sorry you deal with those monsters all the time. The monsters that seem to mock us and never leave us alone, tricking us into thinking we’re never going to heal and they will always have control… it can be frustrating and exhausting. Like there’s a darkness inside that will always have the upper hand as it continues to drag us down . But the thing is, they all lie. They try to find a weakness and then trick us into believing we are not capable when in fact they are scared that we will face them and defeat them! And when we talk about our monsters and start to be vulnerable that’s when we start taking back control. I encourage you to keep opening up so that the light shines on these monsters and reduces their power. They can’t survive when you face them and let the light it. This is a safe place for you to open up and we want you to know you are not alone and we’re here to help you and support you. You are strong and brave and have a purpose and I believe that you will conquer whatever monsters you are facing! You are loved and appreciated! You’ve got this!
This song has so much power in its lyrics. To me it feels like Shinedown can see my exact circumstances and somehow they wrote a song about it! How lucky are we to have access to amazing, emotional, and heartfelt music such as this!
These lyrics cut deep when they say our monsters are real and they’re trained to kill. That line resonates with me because it can often feel like when I’m at my lowest or most vulnerable, that’s when the monsters creep in and go for the throat. They know me and they’ve been trained how to cut the deepest. While these monsters might know us, and they might know how to leave scars, they have no idea what they’re up against!
The power that you have to fight these monsters is immeasurable! Just like Taylor says, there is SO MUCH power in talking about our monsters, and that is exactly what you are doing here! You are already taking that step and stripping away the power that your monsters think they have. These monsters may make you feel low from time to time, but they can never silence your voice, and they can never render you powerless. You are a one of a kind, uniquely wonderful human being that is SO SPECIAL. There is only one you and the world is so so lucky to have you, because only you can change the world in your unique way. Those monsters have no power over your strength. You are so strong. Thank you so much for opening up here and talking about your monsters.
