I never felt loved by my dad. He has done everything to show it. But I guess, now I need to hear it too

It sounds so saddening to not feel loved by your dad, and I’d imagine that the dichotomy of knowing he’s trying to show love while not feeling it could just add to the difficult emotions. It is hard when we don’t feel like we’re getting the love we need in the way we need it!
