I’m a US Marine. I first saw heavy combat in Ramadi, Iraq at the age of 20. I’ve been blown up by IEDs in Iraq and Afghanistan. I’ve lost brothers. I got out in 2009, but all of it is still with me, always will be. The struggle is a battle every day in the war with mental health. Anyway, I won’t soap box it, but thank you for your kind words about veterans.

Thank you for sharing your experiences. Having to relive your experiences in your mind must be torture, and living with the reality that you won’t ever be the same can be disheartening at times. I’m glad that you are able to live out everyday in spite of the struggle.
