i stream alot and its fun but today i wanna quit because im failing my classes and getting harassed on twitch & discord by my own viewer ive blocked them so they have moved to twitch dms and twitch ban requests its making me feel suicidal
Hey @Relli_antro, thank you for sharing your experiences. I am sorry that you weren’t given a very warm welcome to Twitch, with people going the next step further to harass you off the platform. I would urge you to please take direct action when it comes to this harassment, by reporting it and making people aware of the situation. As someone who has dealt with online harassment before, I understand the frustration of dealing with people who have ill intent. However, your safety and mental health are what is truly important here. If you believe that streaming is having a negative impact on your life, then perhaps it would be wise for you to take a break from streaming. Focusing on your classes, and perhaps spending time with your friends playing games off-stream could both help contribute to an improvement in your current situation. I wish you the best.
Stay strong

Hi friend I am so sorry you are struggling with this. I personally know how hard it is to sometimes keep up with stuff. I know that it is hard to deal with stuff like harassement and such and maybe it would be wise to stop streaming till you can get that settled and get better with your grades. I dont know if you have talked to discord and twitch about another way to keep them from trying to be apart of whatever it is that they are coming through to you at. Just keep fighting because it will be okay. Take time to love you and fight for you. Just know we are here.

Thank you so much for sharing with us. Your safety is the most important thing so if streaming is something that is making you feel unsafe right now, it might be a good idea to take a break from it. This doesn’t mean that you have to stop it forever, but you can take the time to get caught up on your classwork and let the harassment on twitch cool down. You can reevaluate the situation once you’ve caught up on your classes and decide if this is something that you still enjoy and can do safely. I hope this has been helpful for you!
