I’ve been struggling with random panic attacks for a few weeks now and it’s affecting all areas of my life. I recently gave up smoking and I think it might be related to that. It’s been my biggest crutch for as long as I can remember and now I just feel helpless.
Smoking was your way of dealing with the anxiety and panic before it even hit you. Kind of like a buffer to soften the hit. Maybe try smoking again but only when you’re having an attack. REMEMBER: its okay to give yourself a break! You deserve it. You need it. Its okay.
It’s okay to have a “crutch” if you don’t have the proper coping skills yet. Try only smoking when you need it (when you feel an attack coming on)
