I can’t even begin to imagine what you’re going through right now. Hearing that your 16 year old daughter has been diagnosed with leukemia must be one of the hardest things to face as a parent. It’s like your whole world gets turned upside down in an instant. The fear, the uncertainty, and the overwhelming sense of helplessness just go beyond words. I’m so sorry friend.
Having to watch your child go through something so serious and painful is heartbreaking. Every day must feel like an emotional rollercoaster, trying to stay strong for her while managing your own feelings. Just thinking about the treatments and the hospital visits is exhausting, both physically and mentally. The worry about what the future holds, the hope for her recovery, and the desire to take away her pain… it’s so much at the same time. It’s a lot to carry, and it would makes completely sense if, as a parent, you feel overwhelmed by it all.
I also imagine how isolating it must feel to be in this situation, so please know my friend that you are not alone and we, at Heartsupport, are here by your side to support you. However you feel is valid under such circumstances, and you are absolutely welcome to share it here whenever you need. Your daughter is lucky to have such a caring and loving parent by her side. We are in this with you.
