Ok, so, I was having a good time last night when someone called me. I picked up the phone and it was my friends mother, and she told me that he had killed himself. I got in my car, got on the interstate and i was going about 130 debating on whether i should just let go of the wheel. I didnt, and i got home, literally cried all night, got no sleep, self-harmed myself, and i just want get rid of the pain. Thx in advance

I’m sure the past couple of days have been incredibly hard. Know that we are here for you my friend. Losing someone to suicide is heartbreaking and so I am glad you are reaching out here. I’m so sorry for your loss, @tman744. This is such a brutal way to lose someone you love… My heart goes out to you. I wish there was a way to make you feel better instantly, but I’m aware that words are not enough in such circumstances. Just know that how you feel is absolutely valid. This brings an incredible amount of pain, a pain that no one should ever feel.
Do you have someone to talk to, in your life? Someone you trust and who could support you/be there for you? I hear that you’ve been hurting yourself and had some very dark thoughts, which makes absolute sense, friend. But I also want you to be safe, as much as possible. We’re all here to support you as well. If you want to talk a little more about your friend, or anything else, please don’t be afraid or ashamed to do so. You are not alone.
