Yeah it’s so hard to live in a world where you feel like your control, your sovereignty over your own life, your own family and their health, is something that can be stripped away from you. It’s a kind of invasion of personal security that can provoke all kinds of trauma, and stir things, emotions, memories that feel like they’re better left alone…it feels like the destruction of principles that have kept your life grounded – security, independence, control…and without those things, it can be like going into a tailspin. It’s hard to feel like you might be backed into a corner and stripped of that choice…and it’s like – what am I going to do? It doesn’t feel fair. But who do you fight back against? Does your voice even matter? It can all feel so powerless and pointless…Rough…feels like a cloud that goes over your head, looming in the background all day…
