You should check out their song Baba Yaga. It’s about the Slavic folklore of Baba Yaga and the song is in half Russian and half English. Also a total banger!
I love this song! The first time they performed it live during the breakdown Alex started head butting the mic and had blood rolling down his face
I love that the heartsupport channel is reacting to this. I’ve met Jake Lurhs A few times…considering ABR is my favorite band, and always a pleasure to talk to him and Matt. Love that entire band so much. And yes this is such a great song!
as russian i can say, your reaction is awesome, and you also so cute, i’m in love
You should listen to La Petite Mort by King 810 or Dying by Adam Calhoun
During my struggles with social anxiety disorder and depression I always felt that extreme music like screamo-rap, metalcore, deathcore etc. reflected the chaos inside my own head, like the vocalist was expressing the emotions I was feeling myself. Nowadays, after much therapy and feeling better, I still enjoy it, but I listen to it much less. NF was also a massive support for me, especially drifting and chasing have a deep connection to the emotions I felt at the time, drifitng for my depression and chasing for struggling with the fact that I kept finding myself in the same place, breaking down in tiredness and sadness due to stress.
They will be coming back to Incarceration this year! 2023 show was crazy good!
@heartsupport 1000 fucking percent. Even when I’m not trying to be that way. the things I want to say just come out angry and I think it’s because I’ve done it for so long
hmmm… At 02:30 When i saw that lil’ guy I had to think of how my Ex-wife really got uneasy a couple of months ago when our 9yo
daughter took a liking in Rammstein (key selling points were the brutal guitars, the electronica and the rich baritone voice of Till)
and was able to casually recite “Engel”… We wonder to this day where she learned the lyrics so well, certainly not from us…
“Some” topics covered by Rammstein and the way they present them certainly are NOT suitable for pre-teenagers (i.e. “Asche zu Asche”,
“Ich tu dir weh”, “Zeit”, “Ohne dich”, “Adieu”, “ich will”, “Mein Herz brennt”)
Some are even a stretch for late teens (i.e. “Weisses Fleisch”, “Du riechst so gut”, “Mein Teil”)
Edit: on a 2nd thought - the statement of the band name “Slaughter to Prevail” is… well… “strong” and (at least in me) invokes strong associations of “darwinism”
You should hear his cover of Barbie girl
