That’s so funny, cause 15, 16 year old us, was like Gayyyy, when it came out…
It does hit different with age tho. One of my top 5…

I can’t consider myself a fan since I only like 2 of their songs. This is one of them, and it’s the last few lines of lyrics in this song that I feel actually means something real…

Hope I never hear that crap again…

One of the greatest live rock performances of all time

Me when I see my therapist crying during our sesh

Anyone saying he’s off key or anything of the sort is smoking crack. Not to mention this is just RAW vocals they didnt have auto tune or lots of filtering effects back in the 90s.

I get the humor behind all of the pearl jam jokes because he has an unorthodox way of singing but imo Eddy was one of the most talented singers to ever hit the rock scene

The music I grew up listening to. Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains, and Sound Garden, Some of the best song writers of all time

How in the hell can someone have never heard this song before? Maybe this is dumb, but I’m 1000% serious. I wouldn’t go to a therapist over 35 who doesn’t know this song. It’s iconic. And I think it would make them more human and able to connect with someone like me. In many ways it’s literally been my therapy during deaths and break ups. Along with many other songs. As someone who absolutely loves sad songs this is top 5.

Over the years they’ve performed this song hundreds of times but this particular rendition is my personal favorite. The whole unplugged performance was magic. Ed was in prime Ed form. His style has definitely changed over the years and he can’t get here anymore but thankfully we have the video to remember the greatness

Black is an extraordinary song, it helped me massively at a tough time in my life and I still love it.

Therapy through music was and is always my best outlet

There are only a couple songs that truly gut punch me , this is one of them …
Gets me everytime …
Another one is Blues Traveler’s “Look Around” …

Eddie at his absolute very best. We love you Eddie
