I think one of the most important things is to understand what words mean. Hypocrisy and lack of empathy stem from ignorance. The important point here is with empathy, greed never takes root in the first place, being thrown away because its damaging. There is also the fact that some have less emotional empathy, where i dont know what to do, but over all, schools and parenting have to change.

Jimmy reminds me of a combination of Tommy and arther Shelby from peaky blinders the smarts of Tommy and great at making money but the nerdiness and wanting of love from his farther and will do anything for that little bit of aproval but ends up trying to kill himself when his farther is there no more

Both my parents are Marines so yeah stripping away humanity is one of the very first things done along with breaking you in every way possible to reassemble into making the most effective solider.
Then again my parents are Vietnam war era Marines which can explain the mentality they were trained in.
