This song is so beautifully sad and I agree it is the depiction of depression. Haunting is the perfect word to describe this. This one hurts my heart especially because of how he died. RIP❤
about time…
His life story was truly a struggle. The last thing he did was ask his fellow band member who came to visit him at home to not leave him like this, and he did, and he died shortly after. But this song hits me hard when I listen to it.
SONG REQUEST: “Baggage” by Chris Webby and Ren please
down in a hole from that same show…please and thank you
You should listen to down in a hole it’s also really sad
As a teenager I was terrible at singing lyrics and not paying attention to the words. So sad he was literally telling us his problems And still never got the help he needed. Such an inspiring voice.
I remember driving around, getting some food, smoking a little green and then heading to a friends house for this premier. We knew the issues that Layne was having with drugs and we didn’t have any expectations to how well he would sing or how badly. Needless to say that we were blown away by how good this entire show was. Rest well, Layne.
wardruna and aurora - helvegen (live) can you please react to this song its a true masterpiece but turn on the subtitles you will need them
the “no place call home” lyric is they were on tour and they forgot to pay rent on their home
Highly underrated band as they are from Seattle and competed with other Seattle bands like Nirvana, Pearl Jam and Soundgarden.
Please do Rooster as this was about his dad when he was in war in Vietnam from Lane as a kids perspective.
Also if you didn’t already react to suicidal dream by silverchair it’s an amazing song and also a 15/16 year old wrote it and it’s amazing
This song has always been one of my all time favorite songs. But every time I watch this performance, it breaks my heart. I just want to hug him and make it better. Beautiful and haunting performance.
Have you seen the story of his Gf who died? She ODed. He really went into a deep depression and upped his drug use. He told His best friend she came and visited him after she had died. His friend Mike Starr freaked out and Lane was unsavable. He wanted to go.
Thank you for a great reaction! I really would love you, as a therapist, to react to some Twenty One Pilots songs. They are a therapists dream.
This is “Car Radio” You’ll love this one. https://youtu.be/92XVwY54h5k?si=e2x7WZAyNPdtZKJv
This one is a very early one of theirs, its had 2.9 Billion views on YouTube, it’s called “Stressed out” https://youtu.be/pXRviuL6vMY?si=LDcv34FWkkS-WDU2
I think you’ll love them.
And today, like 3 hours before you posted this,Tom McDonald/Mesua/Adam Calhoun dropped a track addressing men’s mental health. You MUST check out Mirrors.
React to Alice In Chains “Love, Hate, Love” live at The Moore…
This song sums up my life too well. No addiction issues, just a long series of neglect, abuse, and other traumatic events. Definitely leaves you with a very lonely feeling existence
You have to know for this MTV Unplugged he was high as fuck on heroin. Makes it way more sad. Specially after he was taken from us.
For those of us that were playing shows and living the life when Alice in Chains hit the scene, they were instantly imprinted in our souls.
But most of us knew from the beginning how it was going to end.
Year after year I/we waited for the news.
Even knowing or feeling that it was inevitable, it still was a shock to my soul.
I either hear or watch a reaction to or play this song virtually every day, and cry each and every time.
Jerry and everyone tried their best, even prophetically writing the lyrics. Anything to try to save him.
It’s sooo hard sometimes.
Maybe sometime take a look at Mother Love Bone.
Another band that those who know will point you to.
Kinda the band that these bands went to see before they actually were bands…
Beautiful and tragic.
At my age it’s been hard seeing so many loose, and knowing it was going to happen…
Amy Winehouse still makes me sad/angry.
Just to much to say…
Keep up the journey and Thank You for what you are doing for people and yourself.
