This is the crap commercial edit…the album version is more powerful.
The next two albums are where its at. This is a classic but it kinda opera metal. Shit gets brutal after this.
He wasn’t just a fan who didn’t know how to process grief, he was crazy and delusional. He was saying that Pantera stole his lyrics and all kinds of mess. If you really want to go down the rabbit hole with me, feel free. I’ll let you know everything.
Now you should follow up with In this River.
Surprisingly, hardly anyone reacts to the loner version of this video.
Songs like this remind me of just how untouchable Pantera are.
Apparently where they’re from it’s custom to lock your car doors as you drive by the cemetery or the dead might haunt you. So it might be that he unlocks the door as they go past so that he might be visited by the one who’s gone
grieve in public to be more specific
being in cali , its a farce you lived your life until this point without hearing pantera. im glad you picked this song though. its one of the best considering youre a therapist… study this song and learn from this. some people cant grieve cuz we have to be strong. we have to be the rock .
Pantera also did a cover of planet caravan that’s amazing in my humble opinion so many great songs in Panera’s catalog (this love) (drag the waters of war) (13steps) the list goes on. If you haven’t heard of apocalyptica they have a live band and different singers if you haven’t already check out (I’m not Jesus) featuring Corey from slipknot (Broken pieces) and that list continues on. Clutch is and great band too check out
Just wanted to say you are by far the best Psychological reaction creator hands down. I initially ran into your channel when you were breaking down Tool and it seems like every time I run across a video from you it is always a break down on bands that are exceptionally talented musicians and lyrics that are layered and deep love your Analysis on music and I love that you love the music very authentic you’re awesome at this keep on shining my friend
Your apartment is fucking crazy. Also, Pantera is so good.
It gets sadder, dime was shot in front of his brother, and several other people died that night. I still tear up when I talk about that night. Pantera loomed large in my childhood because they are one of my father’s favorite bands (he’s in one of their vids), I was the only eight year old who knew all the lyrics to their next album, and I saw them on their last tour when I was in high-school. Always a top 3 on my spotify and I always have his favorite drink, a black tooth grin (crown royal, seagram’s 7, and a splash of cola,) on Dec 8th. He was buried with at least a dozen (some say dozens) of bottles of crown royal and an eddie van halen guitar from the man himself. He was one of the greatest guitarists but an even better person.
This is one of the best songs and this is one of the best bands
This song is more than a memory of the late great DimeBag, and his brother Vinnie Paul. It is truly inspirational, about how great music can touch the soul, and have a way to heal still gaping wounds of life. Agreed to other posters: Pantera Hollow, is epic. Just use the Dimebag Tribute version, as there is no video for this EPIC Song. I still miss Dime after all these years<and I was only a fan.
you have a great stank face lol thank you for checking out a childhood favorite of mine. Sadly the drummer Darrell’s brother Vinnie Paul died a couple years ago too. Only 2 members survive of Pantera but neither of them have had anything to do with Pantera in years.
Vinnie and Dime created a sound together that defined modern metal. Listen to Vulgar album. No one was doing those riffs with the double bass rhythm like they were. Dimebag man, he could do the most epic solos yet heaviest riffs and his live guitar playing was better than the record and he was 99% drunk all the time.
One of the best metal songs ever made
Gotta react to Megadeth song In My Darkest Hour the music for In My Darkest Hour was written by Dave Mustaine when he found out about his former Metallica band mate Cliff Burton’s death.
Not a big Pantera fan, but i always loved this song.
