Therapist Reacts to Cemetery Gates by Pantera

Had a friend shot in a drive by (that was aimed at me), another shot himself (which is why 45 from Shinedown is hard for me), had a few other O.D… Then Dime died (got to see them live and hear this song live, one of the greatest solos EVER)… this song has a lot of weight on me.
Listen to Floods and Hollow from them… heart wrenching…

React to “Pantera - Hollow” plss
It’s a deep and sad song that Phill made for a friend who was in a vegetative state after a car crash.

As others have mentioned, “Hollow” & “This Love” are also great songs by Pantera that you would be able to draw meaning from for this channel. I’d argue that “Hollow” is a lot more impactful (makes me tear up if I pay too close attention to the lyrics) than “Cemetary Gates” as “Cemetary Gates” has a power ballad quality to it that effects the overall tone whereas “Hollow” just feels so much more raw in my opinion.

Probably the worst reaction video ever.
“I read Panteras history and watched video”.
Didn’t need a ‘reaction’ or someone to say this song is powerful to fans.

can you please do a reaction to hellyeah love falls. it is a deeply personal song to me.

Pantera is one of my favorite bands in metal. And I have been listening for 35 years now. God I am old lol.

Should react to kublai khan tx they I’d mind

At this point, the fact that you haven’t done any Chris Cornell in a channel about music and mental health feels like an intentional slight :stuck_out_tongue:

Dime was a real one. Rest in Power, brother.

As far as Pantera goes, definitely not my favorite band ( I do like them ), but there would be no way to overstate the impact they had on the metal scene. At least the American metal scene at any rate. Cowboys From Hell dropped and lit a flame under millions of people. Upcoming musicians, well established bands and artists, and, of course, the fans. American metal was hitting a kind of slump at the time and these guys really breathed new life into the scene. It was also nice that the South got some shine outside of Skynyrd. Absolute legends.

You should hear/react to their songs Suicide Note part 1 & 2 together. It would be great to see how you would react coming from a therapist’s point of view.

You should react to Bloodywood - NU Delhi. Absolute headbanger!!!

You would really need to know the backstory on Pantera to truly appreciate WHY the band is considered legendary. Dime and Vinnie were 2 of the most down to earth rockstars you ever met. Dime liked to throw parties alot and welcomed everyone into his world, and house! Pantera is sacred to metalheads worldwide. RIP Dime and Vinnie

I’m from Columbus Ohio, and frequented the Alrosa VIlla club for many years. Sadly I was there when DImebag was killed along with several other innocents in December of 2004. It’s taken 20 years for some of the PTSD to surface of this event. I locked it away. I’ve lived a hard life and seen other violence of this sort that bothered me more because I lost loved ones to it. RIP Dimebag and all the others that died, and the ones who have to live with the memory of this tragedy.

Putting a true murder and lyrics about grieving on the same level was in very bad taste.

I am genuinely surprised that no one has recommended Hardy’s “Wait in the Truck” yet. It’s definitely worth reacting to.

A real dark Pantera song is Suicide note pt1

Now you really need to listen to their song hollow

I wish there was a way to request songs on here… I would love to hear an analysis of “The Becoming” by Nine Inch Nails. For 20 years it has periodically gotten stuck in my head whenever I am feeling emotionally self destructive, and I have no idea why.

Intro is the best part or the song.

My favorite Pantera song is called Walk
