Trent Reznor is a genius. He is the godfather of industrial metal music. He was one of the pioneers of taking electronic sounds and fusing a dose of heavy metal. The result is both catchy and terrifying at the same time. Add to it his lyrics that were generally shocking in some way, to force you to think and analysis oneself.
Those aren’t cockroaches. They’re Madagascar hissing roaches. They literally are extremely clean and carry no diseases whatsoever. I worked at a farm of them for tv and scientific research. They literally are really neat, inquisitive, and like people. They are completely harmless, you can’t catch anything from em.
Is this your first time w/NIN? If so what a waste. Every single track on Downward Spiral that isn’t “Closer” is a bettr fcking track than “Closer”. Reptile, The Becoming, Hurt. Piggy. Every single other track is better. Shame you decided on the most played out, misunderstood song on the album.
Trent has been filled with angst and anger for 30 years…thank god
You should really do more NIN
You want to witness the journey of a man through his music. Go down the Nine Inch Nails and Trent Reznor rabbit hole. Trent transformed over the past 35 years
Amazing revisit of Trent’s pain and self defamation… (You should do Hurt…and the Johnny Cash Cover!)
A really good video that depicts someone out of control is 'Wrong" by Depeche Mode. If I remember it was meant to portray their own struggles with addiction. In the video a guy is rolling backwards in his car, out of control, damaging everything that gets in its way. Only to come to at the end to scream for help, but it had become too late.
please PLEASEEE react to the whole the downward spiral album pleaseeeee
Even as a therapist it does seem like you give off this genuine emotion of a reaction just like the rest of us can relate to because I find myself doing that all the time sometimes.
Do a reaction to NIN closer and then the Johnny Cash version please. IMHO one of the best songs ever written
There’s also a great video for The Perfect Drug by Nine Inch Nails. Very Gothic and Bram Stoker’s Dracula in style.
