“Last Kiss”, “Better Man”, “Yellow Ledbetter” some great songs by Pearl Jam. You’ll especially like the live version of “Last Kiss” (Bridge School 99). Eddie Vedder is an amazing human being.
Temple of the Dog “Hunger Strike.” If you know, you know.
The whole “Ten” album still holds up. Start to finish, no skips. Not too many of those in my humble opinion.
Just discovered your channel-love your insight and compassionate reactions.

You won’t regret it. Trust me.
Its about living on the streets homeless.
My youth. Fun in the mosh pits.
My favorite song about a homeless person. To hear Pearl Jams take: some of us, our horse was on its last leg, then it was put into the race. I feel that perfectly captures the moment.
The whole album “hits”…
You could be my daughter-in-laws doppelganger!
We seen this show too in '94 Miami Bayfront Park Amphitheater. Eddie is an instrument and an empath…
Once please! My favorite by them!
Eddie is the undisputed champion of stage divers. It got higher and higher each show. Black Unplugged is a must watch. Also, Better Man from Vitalogy is another emotional one disguised as a bop.
I’m glad you really “listened” and picked up on the story. The rockin’ music is deceptive. It you don’t pay attention, you can lose yourself in the fantastic rock and miss the story completely. It’s a lot sadder than a lot of people realise. I’ve always felt really sad about the person this song is speaking of.
Request extreme more than words
Wait? What? You’ve never listened to Pearl Jam? Ok… Jeremy, Black (Unplugged), and Alive are right down your alley. Pearl Jam is a rabbit hole. Be warned.
It’s not your channel’s flavor but “Marie” by Townes Van Zandt is a great song exploring the struggles the ignored and forgotten unhoused living all around us daily. Love your channel by the way.
how did I never notice Eddie fall over at 1:38 and then do a little breakdance to cover
On the album version, during the part where Eddie crowdsurfs, there a line that isn’t in this version that i think is so powerful.
“You think I got my eyes closed, but I’m looking at you the whole fucking time”
It’s a commentary on how people observe the homeless, often with scorn and contempt, looking and saying things about them when they “aren’t looking”, treating them poorly. They think the homeless didn’t see it or notice, but the homeless still hear, still see it. They’ve got their eyes open the whole fucking time.
Can’t wait for you to find Chris Cornell and soundgarden. If you really want to be entertained to your soul… I highly suggest… Temple of the dog. Chris Cornell and Eddie Vedder singing together… the only thing I can think of better than that is if they’d have added Layne staley. I certainly hope you find Soundgarden soon it’s good for the soul. Hunger strike… fell on black days… burden in my hand… the list goes on and on and you will love it.
