“As Above, So Below” - From the Emerald Tablet, the foundation of Mysticism and a key part of the Hermetic tradition

Quod est superius est sicut quod inferius, et quod inferius est sicut quod est superius.

That which is above is like to that which is below, and that which is below is like to that which is above.

Great reaction. This song is one of the best for your channel. I have been requesting it since I started watching your channel; its meaning is profound. I could give you tons of other songs that would be great for you to analyze. If you liked this one, try “Fear Inoculum” from the album Fear Inoculum, OR another great choice would be “Pneuma,” another song by Tool, and it’s from their album "Fear Inoculum"1. It’s a standout track that has been well-received by fans and critics alike. The song’s title comes from the ancient Greek word for “breath,” which in a religious context often refers to the spirit or soul2. The lyrics explore themes of spirituality and the human condition

@HeatSupport I was waiting for you to review this one. This is the one that carried me out of depression and I’m certain it is like so for legions on end of other warriors.

With the time signatures this is the best song on the album.

You can’t talk over that Adam jones sauce!! Haha

To me he’s referring to the Fibonacci Spiral (but any spiral really)…and “spiral out” is you never reach the end but you keep going. I.e. don’t try and make sense; so to put an end to your journey of knowing. You…just keep going and trying.

So powerful the words the thoughts the ideals we can ride and enjoy

Who is going to tell her about the fibinacci sequence? We are gonna need a follow up video after some research.

Fibonacci :)…

an inward spiral is very destructive an outward spiral creates

Spiral out!..

I’m sure people have already mentioned it has that swing sound because it’s literally spiraling as the lyrics count up and down the Fibonacci sequence in syllables and rhythm
Between albums tool evolved stylistically from a angrier straightforward metal sound to strain up progressive rock/metal icons exploring and expanding aspects of the human experience

The spiral is a reference to the Fibonacci sequence and the golden ratio.
