I feel I would be better off sharing my horror story in a better place than here. I can generalize it but you can’t get the magnitude of the abuse I went through by me saying physical, emotional, verbal, sexual abuse, with intentional neglect and starvation. As if those aren’t enough I have been through a severe earthquake, scary localized flooding, multiple fires including the Camp Fire Incident Paradise, CA 11-8-2018. (Warning, you cannot unsee burnt corpses) I was already in therapy for the childhood stuff when the fire struck and wiped out my town, killing multiple friends and neighbors and causing so many people I knew to disappear and never return. Afterwards I went through living in bad places, friend betrayal when I moved to Arizona, abandonment again by people, multiple deaths of family, friends and a roommate before and during covid lockdown. 9-8-2020, during covid lockdown, my mother’s small town was wiped out as well due to a back burn going horribly wrong. As of today, I have had 57 friends, relatives, and acquaintances die in the last 7 years. The only thing that kept me going was my faith and my trauma counselor who helped me fight the darkness. I know what it’s like to be in so much pain that death seems like the only answer, but somehow, I still made it through the horrible, seemingly endless nightmare that was post fire.
Don’t know if anyone else does but I get very tearful when angry/enraged

It’s crazy to me that people dont realize Skillet is a Christian rock band. It’s what all of their songs are about. All of them. He feels like a monster and wants someone to come and fix his nature. all of them.

I LOVE SKILLET no matter what anybody says especially if it’s some believer that can’t have a little fun that doesn’t hurt anyone at all besides one’s mind of what one believes in limiting them literally from fun but yeah that is what it is.
Skillet has made a lot of great songs I find or found myself back in a cycle playing back a lot like Linkin Parks song back then as now.
As someone has already mentioned, this is a Christian song. Look up the verse Romans 7:15-20 and filter it through that context
