Glad you did the video version, which includes both Parabol & Parabola, as sadly some people only review the single song, & they need to be listened to together. “This body holding me reminds me of my own mortality. Fun fact I read is that when Maynard screams “Alive” following a pause, that marks the exact middle of the song. The apex of the parabola. Thus, the build-up to that moment and then the wind down on to the end. Again, I read this somewhere researching this track. If I am wrong, please enlighten me so I don’t spread misinformation.
I usually hate their official vids they sre abstract and bizarre to the point of distracting new listeners to the song from the actual lyrics and impact of the music. The best part of this video is the new spiritual ‘third eye’ body he transmutes to at the end. I love this song btw!!

Jimmy is about his childhood and his return to see his mum on her death bed
Judith by perfect circle is his other bank. Its very angry and critical of his mum’s and her god for what she went through
10000 days is the Maynard who had time to reflect and heal his mum’s passing. It was a eulogy but also a love letter to his mum and an acknowledgement of her faith giving him strength now.
And I just thought this album was good for adult fun time.

You need to understand this is TWO songs. Parabol and Parabola. It wasn’t the “last two thirds”, it was a whole other track. Yes, Parabol is meant to serve as in intro to Parabola, but they are still two different tracks. Hence, the difference in feel. I am really surprised this entire distinction escaped you.
