Therapist reacts to Slipknot "The Devil In I"

“metal music is the devil” … I have listened to rock and metal my whole life and more often than not its a powerful message… from Run to the hills By Iron Maiden, to Master of Puppets by Metallica, Slipknots the Devil in I… so much power behind the lyrics weather the band wants your mind to wander or you have a definitive meaning… I love the passion put into the music

Taylor, I know you reacted to the song/video, but can you do a reaction to the behind the scenes of the video? The clip is provided below. Thanks.

I’m sooooo very hoping you’re reading the lyrics to the song you’re really wanting to know what the group is wanting to get across to the humans that are hearing this type of music because people who don’t give this very well worded deep message that’s being arranged in a way it almost gets you to force yourself to use a lot of cognition to come to your own conclusion of what this amazing arrangement of sounds and the intrapersonal likelihood you take away from all music by Slipknot

My dear… i know that maybe a Lot of people told You that loves You… but i swear god THAT I DO!.

I LOVE YOUUUU!:heart::heart::heart::heart::kissing_heart::kissing_heart::kissing_heart::kissing_heart::kissing_heart:

Your awesome!..

while i like the way you take things like this but you missed the point in this one. im not your devil any more means im not the person you can blame anymore because ive removed you from my life

As much as I enjoy vicariously experiencing these songs for the first time again through channels like yours, the over the top dancing on some reactions feels disingenuous. nonetheless I’m enjoying the content. :slight_smile:

When you face the scary, it loses its power, when you face the pain you bring it into the light you realize like its just a Halloween demon wearing costume and mask its nothing that can actually hurt you, in the way that it can when you don’t face. :tada: 6:26

if i had some major demon in my life i would love to have someone like her as a therapist. the energy in contagious! plus what therapist does any one know who is a metal head?! i for one would love that :smiley:

If i had a therapist like you…

“When you face the scary it loses its power”
Thank you, I now have my new life motto when things get bad!! :black_heart::black_heart:

This is the most therapeutic adhd video I’ve seen ever

You Get SlipKnot :guitar::metal:t2::clown_face::fire:

It’s probably already been done or mentioned, but you NEED to react to Snuff live - Corey Taylor.

You’re a brilliant human. Thank you.

Laughing at the fact he was headbanging hard every time it got very gory and she did not see the goriest parts. Cracking me up. Love that she really felt in deep and really though about it.

I’m not your devil anymore. That means, to me, my antagonists can’t blame me for everything that is wrong. I am sober and even when I wasn’t I was honest to my people. Never to myself, but I still managed to take care of everyone and everything.
Now there is no addiction shadowing my every step, so my devil is exercised which means I am no one’s devil.

This song and the video pretty much shows what goes on in my head daily

ah yes, a metal health therapist

This is exactly describing my aha moment during therapy, I was around 40 and I had no idea what was the cause for - lets call it - my weirdness sometimes. Once we dug it up and discovered it, I was able to recognize it and understand the mechanism and by doing so the issue was controllable, not to say gone forever. The mind is a complicated beast.
