Therapist reacts to Staind - It's Been A While

You almost said the key…

oh heroin…

this is a great song and staind has alot of other great songs. unfortunately, this is a separate the art from the artist situation. As the kids would say, “Aaron is problematic.”

Not feeling the jewelry. Too much. Doesn’t fit your Feng shui IMO😊

This is me everyday…

The addiction is her, not drugs

As an addict , when we quit the drug , I AM LEAVING MY LONGEST LASTING , MOST IMPORTANT RELATIONSHIP IVE EVER KNOWN ! This song I believe , is about leaving that relationship

This band saved my life. Love you Aaron Lewis thanks for always being you and sharing your feelings and keeping it real.

The Rehab druggie anthem, Staind and a few other bands music and psychodelics got me off hard drugs, It’s beautiful how music heals

Those that care for you should remind you that youre a female … youre not a guy, so youre not going to understand… and that’s ok

This is the 2nd review of yours I’ve watched. The first one was Pearl Jam Black. I think you nailed that one. For me it was full of emotion but you gave me a perspective that I didn’t think about.

Anyway, I think you’re analysis of this song is wrong. I’m sure it got messed up in editing but you commented on Aaron making statements about addiction before he mentioned it in the song. Regardless, to me, this song is about healing. He was in a relationship at the time when he was fighting addiction. He realizes the relationship was important but he effed it up. At the time, maybe he didn’t feel that way and they just went their separate ways. Now with his new found sobriety, yeah, it was good, it could have been much better if she wasn’t an enabler, he now understands the mistakes he made which led to its demise and he’s sorry.

Let’s heal. Let’s understand our roles in this thing that was good and sometimes bad, but we both played our parts in destroying it. It took him a while to get over it. Since, he’s gotten help and gotten clean. It’s one of the steps in a 12 step program where you try to right pasts wrongs. I think that’s what he’s doing here but not just saying it. There’s more to saying I’m sorry. You can apologize all you want but it doesn’t mean anything unless you truly understand what you’re apologizing for.

I hope my response means something to you because I took a lot of time to think about it and organize my thoughts before responding.

1:28 I approve of this headbang . Real as it gets .

react to “Cycle of Hurting”

Epiphany next please

I do love these reviews and this page but it seems like she’s hearing some of these extremely popular songs for the first time, which is a little hard to believe. Not throwing shade just a little skeptical.

BLD Movement…

Staind Something to remind you. Just saying

Lost my wife and two kids due to drinking… it’s been 4 months now and prayers are very much needed @HeartSupport

As soon as I seen him light the cigarette I knew you was going to say something :joy: that’s great

I would love to hear you review godsmack. Particularly off the other side album.
