Therapist analyzes the lyrics of Stranded by Gojira to discuss how when faced with anxiety, most people FIGHT, they bang against the door and try to fix or change, but this song points out that often the solution is to let the moment be.
People who have had a really hard childhood, been through trauma or have had issues with confusion or anger love metal. For some it´s the lyrics, for some it´s the heaviness of the music.
I didn’t watch the whole video even though she’s awesome. I just I don’t like that song. I love her candor, and honesty, and the trust she has for her subscribers as demonstrated by the funny faces she allows herself to make and the things she says.
Also, please check out the song Outliers by Aviations, some really profound lyrics and message in that one about holding on to hope. And the music is crazy good too!
This album was written while Joe and Mario were losing their mother, so probably she was shutting them out while going through her sickness. Gojira has great lyrics, they are known for being environmental activists, and they write about that, but a lot of the songs are introspective, and I think you will enjoy the message in them. “Art of Dying”, “Vacuity” and “Gift of Guilt” are probably the ones you will enjoy the lyrics of the most. If you are interested in the environmental side then I would suggest “A Sight to Behold” (this song is so overlooked), “Toxic Garbage Island” or “Silvera”. Only Gojira can make talking about veganism and a plastic bag so bad ass
