Therapist Reacts to THE POT by TOOL

one of my favourite tool tracks, always pumps me up and makes me feel good

“Now you’re weeping shades of cozened indigo
Got lemon juice up in your eye”
Always reminded me of Cheech and Chongs “Mexican Americans” line
“Mexican Americans
dont like to go to the movies
where the dude has to wear contact lenses
to make his blues eyes brown
Cuz dont it make my brown eyes blue!”

I think it’s about the Arizona DA.

Such a great song. But there’s not a Tool song that isn’t great. The groove and timing of The Pot is phenomenal.

Maynards other band A Perfect Circle did a song called Judith. about his mother. you should listen to that if you dont allready know it. The passion and emotion he put into that song… he was angry… its also the only song on the entire album “Mer de Noms” where they swear.

Bingo!!! Political

Subbed on the 111k train of peace, love, and understanding beautiful minds.

Yeah , that I am. Not good enough. All fear center stuff

People in grass houses shouldn’t stow thrones.

This song is a double entendre. It’s The Pot calling the kettle black and pot (marijuana). It’s about the hypocrisy of the government criticizing those that use marijuana while they in turn do the same. It’s also about the legislation to regulate such drugs while the people making the legislation are somehow lining their pockets with money from said drug. It obviously has multiple meanings and that’s the beauty of Tool. They write music that has many interpretations.

Don’t know if you’ve done swap song yet?? But please do!

I love the stank faces you pull while listening to tool. They are highly entertaining.

Her facial roller-coaster of emotions :tada:

make 10.000days part 2 reaction please

tool is fucking nice omg.

Don’t forget about the line “You’re weeping shades of cozened indigo got lemon juice up in your eye”. Refers to crying fake tears.

LOL this lady would have had a field day with Maynard 30 years ago. Guy was a fucking train wreck.

It’s Tool… its political? No, its Tool, its emotional, period.

It was a joy to watch you enjoy the music of Tool. I thought it was adroit that you tied it to the inner critic in us. Spot on! Great job.

I wish I was younger and handsome. She’s freaking adorable! Welcome to Tool
