Therapist reacts to Vicarious by Tool

You need to do invincible, lots to talk about there!

I love watching your videos I learn something new every time. Thank you for doing this

Okay that thumbnail got me haha

You should react to “Right in Two”. That song definitely will appeal to the therapist in you.

To me this song perfectly explains the media gives us so much tragedy on a daily basis. Don Henley wrote a song called Dirty Laundry :basket: back in the 1980’s . With a classic line The bubble headed Bleach Blonde comes on at 5 she can tell you about a plane crash with gleam in her eyes.

Vicariously I enjoy your confusion upon seeing machine elves with knowledge that you probably don’t know what the F it is.

I always took it as feeding the darker base behaviors thoughts and feelings that we try to ignore or push away to be welcomed or viewed as normal within society. When we watch these things, we tend to do so behind our own closed doors. While some joy may be gained at times, it’s not always the case. It maintains our yin because we don’t have a balanced way of feeding it naturally in the light of others, so we are drawn and satiated by blips of the more darker sides of humanity, vicariously

My favorite reaction channel, she’s really :fire:

This album came out in 2005, and the lyrics are literally SPOT ON! Think about that…

React to Sevendust Scapegoat

I thought I was going to laugh or have a giggle at how she might patronize their lyrics. But I was so pleasantly surprised when she listened to it and empathized DARKLY and understood the nature of it. BRAVO. Very very proud. It’s so rare to see such an excellent mind at work. Two thumbs up!

Seeing an actual therapist take pause from the questions the song is asking makes me appreciate how incredibly good Tool are at their job

lol you really should be watching a Tool video if youre not a veteran Tool fan. Its a mind F

I’ve always equated this song to news junkies. Those types of people who watch the news or politics like it’s a wrestling program. Picking sides cheering others on through real destruction.

Again, an amazing reaction. Deeply insightful. Thank you. Try Judith by Perfect Circle to round out the Maynard’s story journey. You will see his stage of acceptance/rejection. Thank you for this. Yes… Took is deep!

I’ve seen plenty of people that operate on the idea that for them to succeed, someone else must fail. I wonder if that contributes to what’s addressed in the song

Tool uses a lot of Carl Jung’s philosophy in their writing and Alex Greys art in their visuals. There’s generally several layers to everything they do.

Great analysis! And love you love rock! ⚘:fire::black_heart:
