I have been a massive metal fan for 30 years, from the moment my brother played Pantera on a cassette tape when I was 13. I have always been connected to the music, but I found the whole ‘devil worshipping, black t-shirt’ culture associated with the music to be, at the least, a bit odd. Metal doesn’t make me want to bash people in the mosh pit - it makes me smile, it makes me push my headphones into my ears to ‘hear it harder’. I love bands like this, that make big riffs and harsh vocals accessible, fun and positive. Metal should be able to be fun, and should be a party! I’m not surprised so many fans love Electric Callboy, I’m sure I’m not alone in how I feel about a big riff or a harsh scream!
