I was sexually assaulted by a kid my own age in 7th grade. After I was sexually assaulted I fell into a really dark place with depression and anxiety to the point where I want to take my own life. I felt like I wasn’t myself after that. It took lots of years of counseling and switching schools to get where I am today. I am now a senior in high school and I still do have anxiety and I have been diagnosed with ptsd. I still have some rough days, and the thing that keeps me going was the thought that it gets better. I have now shared with my entire school my story. I am here for everyone who feels that they are alone in their situation, and I am here to make sure you are not alone!
I am in complete awe of your strength and transparency in sharing your powerful story!
The fact that you have been able to turn such a horrific event you experienced into a way to share with other’s your story and bring more awareness and encourage and empower so many others to be courageous in sharing their story that they can relate to your story.
Be encouraged and continue to do what you are doing, you are making such a tremendous impact!
