TW; SH question

So since i was in 6th grade I have had this habit of chewing my fingers until they r wounded…Is this a form of self harm??? Its been a nervous habit for a long time. I mostly do it when my anxiety is really bad. It leaves wounds on my fingers.


There might be more to it than that. When you start your therapy, perhaps that is something you should bring up and talk about.


I bite my fingers too. I keep biting until i have nothing left sometimes. I work with my hands so i try not to do it as often.

I agree there might be more to your habit than you think. We all are learning and unlearning from our pasts.


I will bring it up to my therapist thank u for ur answers
