Describe a time where you were unmotivated to do something fun or easy. Why didn’t you want to do it? Remember, it’s natural to feel unmotivated even when something should be fun. It’s even more difficult to find motivation when a task is difficult or uncomfortable.
When something is hard, we can forget the reason behind why we’re doing it and can be intimidated by the work itself. Remember, it’s easy to feel unmotivated when you’re staring at a mountain of difficulty. Instead, we need to remind ourselves that we’re doing the work for a reason. In what ways do you take the easy path instead of leaning into the difficult moments in life? How fulfilling is it when you do what’s comfortable?
