Hey friend,

It’s a strange feeling, for sure! I’ve felt disassociated a lot as a kid. Honestly, I didn’t even really discover who I was until I was around 30, and I’m 43 now. It can be extremely difficiult finding your place, and finding your mind, but it CAN be done.

Hi there,
I totally get it. I’m 41 and still don’t know who I am. And many times I can’t decide if the disassociation is good or bad because it feels helpful at points.
I think it’s not even matter of knowing. The process of finding out is a way to go - at least for me. Just don’t sweat it too much. All in good time. Stay strong.

On the plus side…When you become aware that you are dissociating is where you get your power back though! It gives you the ability to then do something about it  but it is a normal thing to have that happen to us because it’s our brains way of trying to cope and protect us.
