I spoke to my nephew the other day and my mom and myself are going to help him out within our means because he’s all by himself in another state.
My nephew lost his job last year due to Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico and the situation on the island is very bad in terms of employment. He takes off to another state without having the security of a job and not having a high school diploma or a GED and not knowing speaking a word of English.
I think it was very irresponsible and foolish to make such a careless move on his part. I told him that the United States is very different place than Puerto Rico, people here don’t help you and he won’t be having help from family or friends your on your own here. I hope and pray he stays safe and out of trouble.
