40 and far from clean…

Hello friend,
I’m also in my 40s and I’ve battled through a lot, whether it be addiction, mistakes i’ve made in the past, but at the end of the day, it’s a learning experience. Being able to come out and say “i’m far from clean” takes a LOT of courage. We can use those experiences we’ve been through. We can’t change the past, but we can change our future.
Hi Friend,
It seems that you may have been having difficulties being clean, but I commend you for your honesty and acknowledgement of the current situation. The first step to recovery from any addiction is to first acknowledge that it exists in one’s life and is impairing you. You clearly have the mindset to overcome this challenge, and you are not alone in conquering it. We at Heart Support love you and believe that you can overcome this challenge!
Hope this helps
hey,
i hope that through whatever journey and struggles you are going through, you are supported and loved. it takes a lot to acknowledge your struggles. bouncing back can be hard but life is a journey of ups and downs. we believe in you here at heartsupport, thank you for having the courage to be honest with yourself. you got this <3

hey friend,
thank you for being here and sharing a part of your life with this community. facing addiction is one of the most difficult things because of how much of a grip it can have on someone. no matter what the addiction is based around, it’s such a heavy weight on both your mind and body to endure. this community would be honored to hear your story and how your 40 years have been. we’re here always to offer you unconditional love, support, and being seen & heard. addiction is a beast. but if anyone can defeat it and rise above any obstacles, it’s you. i believe in you.
love,

What a powerful song, I can sympathize with you and the message behind the song. We all have pasts and struggles that we deal with on a daily basis. The most power line, to me, in this song is " somebody save me, me from myself". I dont know what all you are facing and it doesn’t matter, what you need to know is that i hear you. You might think that you only gave me 5 words, but those words spoke to my soul. Every day we have to wake up and make the decision, do we let our mistakes define us or do we allow them to make us stronger and wiser. I believe you reaching out to us is you saying that you no longer want to be crippled by your past. You want to heal, even though it may be a long and pain process, it will be a journey that you will be able to show, yourself and others, that you can rise above anything. Keep fighting friend, never give up on yourself. You are an amazing person and this world needs you. I believe in you.
With love
Eric
