I was addicted to codeine for 7 years. It’s very easy to get in the UK, through doctors and on the street. It started with me taking them for cluster headaches but I got addicted to the feeling codeine gave me. I never bothered with other drugs because codeine was giving me everything I needed.
Now I’m coming up to one year clean and it’s been a struggle but I’m getting there

Almost year clean?!! That is freaking awesome!!! Addiction is a beast to conquer and you my friend are doing that. So so proud of you. The journey isnt over and I know there might be a lot of difficult things ahead for you, but in this moment right here, I just want you to know that I am proud of you and just…you’re awesome.
