Hey everyone,
Just a quick reminder! Our forum is a place that relies exclusively on Peer Support, where authentic and supportive conversations are meant to happen.
Please avoid using ChatGPT or similar AI tools when offering words of encouragement to others. This expectation is now officially highlighted in our Forum Guidelines >> here << and we’re asking everyone posting to respect this requirement moving forward.
If you open up about your struggles on this Forum, you would expect to receive words of encouragement from a real person who is willing to have a genuine conversation with you.
On the other end, we really value your contributions and want to hear your voice when you’re here to offer support. It is the combination of your willingness to show up for people, of your own unique story, perspectives and empathy that make your encouragement so special.
We’re all about supporting you in your practice as a peer supporter! It’s okay if the result is not perfect. It’s okay to embrace the discomfort it creates in you. It’s okay to embrace peer support as a full learning process. What matters is that you take the initiative of showing up for others and to set an intention of creating genuine connections. Everything else can be improved with practice and continuing education.
For more on why this matters, check out this short video from our Executive Director, which is part of our volunteer training.
Thanks for being awesome!
