I’ve been cutting ties with my terrible family, I feel stuck. I’m broke, I can’t drive, don’t have a car, I’m about to spend my first holidays alone. I can hardly pull myself out of bed, I’ve been wondering if it’s even worth trying anymore
@sageshadowbladebmx I’m so sorry you’re going through this. I can’t imagine the pain you’re feeling right now and how heavy this weighs on you. I know I don’t have much to offer you, and I wish with all my heart I did, but I just want you to know that you’re seen and heard. That you’re loved and valued. Sometimes the family we are born into can let us down, but we get to choose the family and friends around us who love us unconditionally. If you ever need this community to show you that love and support, we are here for you.

Hey Friend, The short answer to that is “yes” it is absolutely worth trying and the reason for that is you! you are worth trying for, I am so sorry that you have a terrible family but I am glad if they are that bad that you have chosen to cut ties with them, some people don’t because “they are family” which I have never understood. but with any big decission comes the consequences and that doesnt mean they are bad it just means things change and it takes time to get get used to the changes. That is a big change and I can see why you feel stuck. I would encourage you first as you are feeling so low to perhaps see your gp and ask about talking to a therapist to get through all of this upset, I think you would benefit greatly from some talk therapy and of course you can post on our forum and get support there too anytime. Its a massive life change but be kind to yourself and patient friend. You are not broken you are bruised and you can heal. Much Love Lisalovesfeathers. x
