I feel like that today alcoholic I wish I wasn’t

It can be such a rough feeling to look in the mirror at ourself and be so aware that we’re not where we want to be. We know that we want to be someone else, we want to change, but we don’t know how. It can feel like bitter acceptance and you want nothing more than to just give up.
Despite everything that you struggle with, everything that you feel, you are still enough and you are still valuable. Your life is not insignificant, just by you being here and by you reaching out proves that you are strong, even if you feel like you are stuck in your own ways.
Think of the little things in life that give us hope to just keep on living:

  • To hear your favorite song
  • To pet a dog
  • To laugh so hard your stomach hurts
  • To fall in love
  • To feel a hug
  • To be told “thank you”
  • To watch a sunset
  • To feel peace
  • To swim
  • To feel the warm summer sun on your skin
  • To learn to cook new recipes
  • To eat your favorite foods
    There is so much of your life that you haven’t lived yet that will be beautiful. There is so much beauty that will find you. The best way to move forward is to give ourselves grace. Not to wish we were someone else, somewhere else, but to acknowledge where we’re at and prepare to take a little step forward. Then another, then another. Not wishing we’re at a certain destination, but to give ourself grace in our failure and recognize our successes.
    Know that whatever stage you are at today, however you are feeling, you are loved and valuable. Keeping taking those steps forward, and keep showing yourself love. You are loved, my friend <3
