I’ve been depressed for a while and I feel like nobody understands. My husband has been listening to you for a while and I don’t feel like he even understands me.

Thank you so much for reaching out! —depression can feel so isolating, and it’s even harder when you feel like no one truly understands what you’re going through. It takes a lot of courage to open up about your feelings, and I want you to know that your pain is valid. Sometimes, even when loved ones try to support us, it can feel like they’re not quite connecting with the depth of what we’re experiencing, which can make everything feel lonelier. It’s not uncommon to feel misunderstood, even by someone as close as a spouse.

That disconnect doesn’t mean your feelings aren’t real or important; in fact, they are deeply important. Maybe your husband is struggling to know the right way to support you, or perhaps he’s processing things in his own way, but that doesn’t make your emotions any less significant.

You deserve to feel heard and understood, and it’s okay to express those needs or seek support elsewhere, whether that’s a trusted friend, a counselor, or a support group.
Please don’t give up on the hope that things can get better, and know that taking the step to share your pain is already a sign of strength.

It’s so hard for us to feel heard and understood by the people we love. Depression is not an easy thing to relate to when someone hasn’t actually lived through it. It’s not SADNESS. It’s not an emotion. Depression feels like a toppling of many emotions, and sadness is just one symptom crushing you deeper into the Darkness.

Last Resort is a song my brain plays often in the internal background soundtrack for my life.
“Losing my sight losing my mind. Wish somebody would tell me I’m fine. Nothing’s alright. Nothing is fine. I’m running and I’m crying.”

You are not broken, because you survive every day through invisible soul-shattering pain, and that is extremely hard to walk through alone. That’s one of the bravest and strongest features you show everyday…not giving in to the Darkness that feeds off of you at your weakest moments.

Just understand, that even though you may not have anyone in your life directly who can relate and understand the emotional weight you struggle with, and the demons that follow you around in those dark places, I am offering you a glow stick to help light your way. You are not alone here. It’s just extremely dark. Find yourself in the music. It will light the way. May you find healing :purple_heart:.

Amazing how he sang this song and very strong and heart warming to actualky hear the words that portray you. When in depressuon it a very dark place which many who doeant understand depression or suicide not many will understand or will say or the saying : “is in your head” it mind bodles me how ignorant people can be.

Im sorry if you arent being heard or understood. It takes courage to open up about what going in yout mind about how u are feeling.

Have a sit down talk and express about events or emotions that is going on amd go on from there.

I hope nothing for the best

Hello

Thanks for sharing and we are here for you…

Opening up is one of best thing to do and definitely take a feet to get too. Depression is not always fun to be around and leave you more lonely itself but you’re not alone. Sometimes we have to understand where our pain comes from which is not all the time a easy thing to deal with inside. This song picture alot on of an individual who feels trapped, isolated, and overwhelmed by their circumstances. Which is sometimes difficult to understand for others at time. But just like in a video where the building are being raised back up so can you. You can definitely change how you feel about yourself and other things you’re dealing with hope this helps you through what you’re facing.
