Belongs to: Therapist Cry's While Listening to Wings of Maria Pt 1 and 2 by Tool
My father died in 2016 from lung cancer caused by agent orange. My mother passed Apr 12, 2024. I listened to this song on repeat during the last few months of my mother’s life. She was the closest thing I had to a Judith. Her faith never waivered.

Losing someone you love is such a hard hit. Losing both your parents is such a difficult experience. Especially when they were full of love and support. The people who showed you how life is lived and who guided you through dark times and good times, it’s a grief that comes deeply and with such weight.
I love that music is connecting. I love that it has a way of expressing the things that we don’t always have words to give a voice to.
It’s a feeling of not being alone and of knowing that someone has walked through the fires and came out the other side.
We are the essence of the people who helped us thrive. In a way their memories stay strong because of the impact they left in our hearts. As much as the longing and ache exists because their physical presence has gone, it coexists with the knowledge that we live and carry them with us every day we move forward

Hello dear friend <3
I’m so sorry for your losses. I lost my mom in 2014 (her 79th birthday would have been today) and I lost my dad in 2005. Music is one thing that helped bring me and my mom closer together, and there’s a lot of bands that my mom got into because of me, Tool being one of them. I even took her to a Tool show in 2001 in Chicago, and she actually cried when Maynard would sing, cuz of how moved she was. She was also a Judith to me. She was the strongest person I knew. But they help mold us into the people we are today <3
I’m so sorry for your loss. I cant imagine the heartache you’ve had to endure. Music can heal and strengthen us through our most difficult times. If it weren’t for music, I’m not sure I’d still be here today. I hope you realize just how strong you are. It may take some time but know that your healing will come. It’s so important to remember that the legacy of those we love the most is carried on through us, and we can honor their life by continuing to live every day to its fullest. My prayer is that you continue to show the love that was given to you to those you meet each day. Your parents would be so proud of who you are and would want you to live your life with no regrets or fear of the unknown. You have a new family now and we will not only be here for you during the hard times but also to
celebrate with you in your victories.
With love
Eric
