My life is a cycle of trial and error, learning and failing over and over again. Its a never ending cycle, I have maybe 1 or 2 do overs before I am not mentally able to keep pushing. This goes for jobs and relationships. Currently unemployed barely able to submit job applications, not knowing if I will be able to do the job I get, I don’t even know if I’m strong enough to go to the interviews if I even get one… It is what it is.

Life can feel utterly exhausting when it seems that you can never pick the right path. Every “right” choice that you make, eventually ends up showing you how it was the wrong choice to make. It definitely takes a toll on your mental health. I’m sure at times it can also make you feel like you have to always second guess yourself. Like you can’t trust yourself.

I am also currently unemployed and every time that I have been unemployed has felt different. I am normally good at keeping my jobs for a few years, then eventually I will get to my point where I can no longer do that job, for a multitude of reasons. Each unemployment has been a different experience. I’ve learned different things about myself during each one. Getting a job to get a job can be so taxing because you know that you need to work in order to pay for things, but you also don’t want to end up at the exact same place that you once were.

Maybe this is a way to allow yourself to rest for a minute. When my husband lost his job, the same day he was putting in applications to different places. He was contacted by a few different employers but they kept just falling through and I remember him telling me that it was like he was being forced to slow down. Maybe you were given this time to yourself for a reason and it’s giving you some time to think where you want to make your next step. To find what is truly the best for you. As long as you learn from your failings, you are making progress. It’s helping you eliminate the bad options.

I believe that you will be able to find your next step in life and that it will be a step that you are excited to take. You were given this time, so use it to your advantage. The down shifts in life can be extremely tiring and discouraging, but it can also be a time for transformations. You can make it through this cycle and I have faith that you can break it.
