That was me when my dad died. I cried as I told my wife about it when I got off the phone with my mom when she told me about the accident that morning. That was it. I had to be the one to get through everything, the conversations with the funeral home, the preacher, the graveyard…everything down to coordinating the event on the morning of the funeral. I let my brother and my sister and my mom turn into emotional wrecks for those 4 days. My biggest fear is that others (the friends and family at the funeral) thought that I didn’t care about his death because of how I had to act.
