This song actually was born from an improvised live performance with Fred durst Aaron only had the chorus of the song written and Fred asked him to play it live and agreed he would come out on stage and sing it with Aaron. If you watch the live version ft Fred it’s the actual recording and video of this song where Aaron basically freestyled the entire song outside of the chorus live in front of thousands of people
WATCH the live version with Fred durst! At this preformance. Fred said if you sing that song you wrote on my couch back in floriad, I’ll sing the chorus with you. Aaron Lewis only had the chord progression and the chorus the rest is completely off the head LIVE In front of a packed stadium with 14000s people.
I don’t understand what you’re actually trying to do for people that are listening it’s almost like you’re trying to help yourself and that’s from the outside looking in LOL
You can’t put therapy in this I get where you’re going but if you don’t have music not familiar with a musical instrument lyrics and it takes years to understand these people and the talent that they have I understand exactly why they wrote these songs I resonate to it I use it for my own therapy it doesn’t bring me down only one time it did but I was much younger there’s guys out there with so much talent way worse than Aaron Lewis as far as going through hard times
I’m really enjoy you because you’re authentic. You are from such a different space this music came from, but I truly live watching you experience it and break it down. Your perceptions are so clear & how we should see. You have great energy & I appreciate your willingness to dive into the ugliness of our Gen X trauma.
You have a strange vibe to some of these songs…
So far away!! another masterpiece
I gave this song to my ex girlfriend when we broke up…i think she never understood how i felt about it. Everytime i hear this song i think about her…
Standing too close to an elephant
React to ‘Staind - For You’ please…such a heavy song and video…
He made this song up on stage in front of a live audience.
Your super beautiful…love this song he actually talks about how he found out a young man hung himself and this song was playing on repeat.
Please check out, Fade, For You, Epiphany, and Mudshovel. This is by far one of my favorite bands ever. I’ve had the privilege of seeing them twice in concert, and I will surely do it again whenever I can lol
You beautiful…
I saw Staind at my very first concert end fest 2001 in New Orleans. Staind was INCREDIBLE live. You should please check out “Raw” by Staind!
Don’t you dare commit blasphemy and put Nickelback lyrics on this song…lol
Look at this photograph
Please Taylor…do a reaction to their song called Epiphany!! Only time I requested a song from you because i know youd really vibe to it and definitely will take something from it’s message!!
I think Aaron is speaking about his fans. Aaron might have been feeling the fight of the recording company and his thoughts of his future? What he felt he wanted to do as song writer, what he had to do for a contract. ?
watch the live verison…
