The sad thing is I try really hard at life but the proof is in the pudding as they say. How many times do you have to fail before you are a failure? What about every time?
I found this song so late in my journey. “I don’t want to die, I just want to get relief” speaks to me in so many ways and I know it does to others as well. I fight this battle every day and frankly it’s exhausting but I found my reason to fight and I hope and pray that everyone here has their reason. to everyone who hasn’t yet, please keep looking for a reason to fight. Keep looking for a way to shut that voice up. It’s so hard but I promise it’s worth it.
9:46 not to contradict you, but interlude comes before this song and gives it context. When he says if this is it, he was talking about his success. This song was written at a point in time in his life where he had everything he had ever wanted in his own mind the number one song went platinum, triple platinum even his tour dates all sold out and he just wasn’t happy. It didn’t make him happy. And so he’s saying if this is it if this is the peak it’s not gonna work. You should listen to interlude it gives some context to it. Of course I’m not saying that there isn’t this voice that you’re speaking of. It’s just thatthere’s a reason he’s speaking the way. He’s speaking. He’s supposed to be at the height of his career bigger than he thinks he will probably ever be, and it didn’t make him happy.

Hi Taylor - is there anyway you might listen to The Pact by a band called Slaves? The lead singer has fallen in and out of drugs and issues, so much so he’s been kicked through about three separate bands. His voice is wonderful though and his lyrics always hit. <3
