Therapist analyzes the lyrics of Heavy is the Crown by Linkin Park to discuss how to allow two things to exist at once. Yes the crown can be heavy and that can be hard, BUT there is a flipside that is also true- how strong are we for being able to carry the weight of that crown! The song invites us to express the burden, and find the opportunity.

#linkinpark

Since you had a member (brad) stop touring due to his mental health issues (ADHD, autism and ocd- said he’s not coping well with live environment), linkin park is a band still with mental health issues attached to it.

Right Now,I’ve had a Hard 11 Months+ I’ve lost my Dad, my Identical twin brother, and my Dear Sister in-law!! Heavy is Right!!

Being a therapist turned singer you should read up and listen to Citizen Soldier. They have very powerful lyrics

I’ve felt so low for so long. It’s felt like I have been fighting against a whole army of problems and barely treading water.

Only thing that bothers me is the break between her screen and the chorus during the video. The actual track isn’t like that. It’s lackluster when you’re waiting for something extraordinary.

It really sounds like OG linking park, the synth is the same too i believe from some of their big hits. Absolutely lovely comeback so far from the band. Also the crown being heavy is a great lyric, for both league of legends, as faker (the one in the cape) is 4th time world champion, and current holder of the ‘‘crown’’ of league. And also for emily, who’s now carrying the heavy burden that is chester’s legacy. So yes, this is what we asked for, and they’re putting their middle fingers up and saying we’re doing it.

Listen to all my life by falling in reverse

Big metal/rock fan and found this music is a safe place for me. Came across your channel through other reaction channels. You’re the best at understanding what the bands/artists are betraying. As somebody who goes through moments of lows and feeling not with it you help me understand that it’s ok to be me and I thank you

that scream shout reminded me of chester when he would do given up. There was so much in that. lol then right after I type that you shared that part on the shout in the vid.

All the “real” fans said Emily wasn’t good enough, she spat in all their faces with that scream. The funniest thing to me is that when people find out about Linkin Park after Chester’s death, they consider themselves old fans and shout about what bad decisions Mike made. Great choice Emily, glad the band is back.

I have the video and thank you for posting I love your videos😊

I highly recommend Chester’s side project Dead by Sunrise - more gloomy and mature. I have a voice acting background and use these songs as a vocal warm up. The vocal training itself for me was really tough, sometimes without noticeable results for months but artists like Chester orChino Moreno or late Kevin Conroy’re a great impulse to not give up: was almost Leon in those new RE games

you look a lot like the new soloist

If you like Linking Park or Arcane, you cannot help but like this. If you like LoL …well, nobody’s perfect I guess, but at least the people who have poured a lot of time in it got to be in a LP music video!

I haven’t heard all of their catalog. Until you paused it, i forgot this was a new song. Was thinking just an old one i hadn’t heard.

No So Hyang on the channel yet AT ALL…

Come on tho…

Get on that!

Has that old Meteora Vibes for sure

Johnny cash’s cover of hurt

Gave me vibes on the OG LP as well. The whole vid and song were so strong. Loved this whole thing.
