Therapist reacts to Solway Firth by Slipknot

Yes, I relate. After years of depression, anger, PTSD and self harm I opened up to my parents about my struggles. My dad said nothing and my mom said i was being over dramatic. When my partner passed, i expressed my feelings to my mom and she said that she, my partner, never loved me anyway, and then said I don’t want to talk about it anymore. My dad has since passed but I haven’t seen my mom for a few years now. She tried to, in a round about sort of way, apologize and now she understands better since my dad passed. Kim, my partner, was the one that was always there for me in my darkest times.

This is easily one of Slipknots greatest compositions ever

This song hit me hard , because ai feel like tjis

As a Slipknot fan who lives near the Solway Firth, I’m confused by the song title… I can only assume it’s a reference to the supposed UFO incident and not the area itself. It’s a banger though.

I aint saying that all people listening to Slipknot have been inflicted with some kind of pain, but most likely most of them… me including.

Gladly havent experienced physical pain yet, because I was cautious on my behaviour. Yet… I was definitely in some spicy situations where I was words away from being beaten to the ground.
But mental pain is all I have gotten so far. Went to a psychologist 12 years ago, he helped me to cross this road of self-destruction of “If I am a loser” or “Why is everyone looking down on me”

The answer was always the same. Don’t listen to them… How can I not listen to what people are saying tho? Thats what ears are there for. Once in my brain, it never goes away.
Thats what I told the psychologist, and his response was “You might as well be a genius then, cause look at your particular situation with this POV… You remember things from 20 years ago, day by day, share your experience. I dont see a way to make a therapy here, since you already made up answers.”

He was right.
Thats why I am doing my menacingly best to make people see the real point of how to overcome pain, the unimaginable & unforgettable & disturbing experiences.

Stay on your toes, yet never on a toe.

I believe he said this song was about his divorce. Correct me if I’m wrong!

I like this so much…

The video clips are from an awesome tv series called The Boys it’s one of the best shows I have ever seen you should check it out
