Therapist wishes you were here. (Pink Floyd)

Roger Waters’ masterpiece. One of many.

Not Gilmy’s.

Everything about pinkfloyd says mental health… hee hee

There is no way to explain this song, there is no need to, it just feels with the heart. The magic of Pink Floyd…

It’s “Nero in a cage”…

It’s Floyd , so it’s powerful. Masterful emotion builders. There’s meanings to many of their songs that aren’t always what you think.

Check out some ELO…

It’s awesome you appreciate this awesomeness. Listen to Shine On You Crazy Diamond. . You will love it:+1::+1::+1:

You should listen to, Europa (Earths cry Heavens Smile), the emotion in Carlos Santanas music is beautiful.

Syd Barrett had schizophrenia.

Just like that dip, shit Trump breaking into a good song trying to beg for money.:face_with_symbols_over_mouth:

I really like and admire you for who you are … don’t ever change and I will keep listening to what you need to say about the current topic of the daywill keep watching you

I’m sure by now many others have said it, but you need to listen to the whole of dark side of the moon. Then The Wall and then Animals. You will enjoy them all.

hmmmm Pink Flyod is not a head bangin band and also in not really for dancing. It is for reflection and contemplation. They are more about meditation and spiritual enlightened.

So fortunate to have seen Floyd in concert back in 94. This can be a deep rabbit hole, but it’s so worth it.
Also, you gotta get out of the city and come to the country. Way too much negative energy there. :v:

This song was written about Syd, but David could be singing it for Rick now.

So wrong in so many ways. 1st LSD is not addictive at all physically (maybe psychologically :man_shrugging:). Second this song was about Roger Waters losing his father in world war 2 who was a pacifist conscious objector who was conscripted and died as a result and so had a “walk on part”.
For an album by Floyd about Syd Barret listen to Dark Side of the Moon.

That part about trading war for a cage meant you went to Nam or you went to jail ffie draft dodging

You mentioned the walk on part in a war to a lead role in cage maybe being about the bands musical career.

It instantly made me think of the song Have a Cigar. I’m not sure if you’ve analyzed that song yet, but it’s all about band/corporate struggle. There’s this line that goes “by the way, which one’s pink?”

I don’t know about the fish bowl. There were more than two people in the band. Maybe he’s talking about the strife between conscious and the subconscious mind.

  1. lsd isnt addicting and 2) they kicked him out because he literally went crazy. Probably because of taking too much led at once. He was never the same again
