While this isn’t my favorite song of AIC, it’s the one that digs the deepest. I struggle with alcoholism and every time I’m in deep, it just makes me cry.

Hey friend, thank you so much for sharing. I think sometimes when we hit those hard times, those rock bottoms, we find accessible and easy ways to cope. Using alcohol is something that is so easy to fall into, it’s something that gripped me for a long time.
One thing I loved was the free feeling, the buzz, the feeling that all my worries were melting away and it was almost like once the buzz wore off I was stealing momentary happiness from
The next day. So, what other way to get that feeling back than by repeating the process?
These moments where we find solace and peace from our minds and the chaos around us, turn out not to be viable and beneficial. It’s like a fleeting moment to cease the voices and pain.
It takes a lot of courage to put a voice out there and say “this isn’t working, but it’s what I’ve got right now”.
I just want to encourage you that it’s not the only support and solution in your journey. Your story may be at the point of struggle and hurt right now, it may even seem that it feels the only way to numb the feelings at the moment.
Being vulnerable and sitting with emotions is scary! It’s terrifying to think we may have to face them. Allowing ourselves to face the uncomfortable is a huge step. It’s a step though that brings a longer form of peace to our minds. It’s a step that confronts our demons head on and allows us to take that control back.
That is something you deeply deserve and I hope you know that you’re not alone through it.
Sending you love

Thank you for being here and reaching out. We’re so grateful you are here! Being deep within a struggle is difficult and frustrating. Sometimes it can make us feel like there’s no way out and things will never change. Like if we’ve given in to whatever we’re struggling with we feel unworthy and ashamed. When I’ve been in the grips of a struggle I’ve often felt like there’s no hope and I can’t fathom it getting better. But every day we wake up is another chance. Our struggles do not define us. Your life has purpose and meaning. Hope is there whether it feels like it or not. Facing our fears and reaching out for help is a huge step toward healing and you deserve to heal. You acknowledged your struggle and that means you can conquer it. It isn’t easy but it is so worth it. YOU are so worth it. One step at a time keep moving forward. Every small step is a victory. We are here for you and you are loved! Stay strong! I believe in you and I’m praying that you can see the hope that’s waiting for you to embrace!
