Therapist goes through Money Games 1,2, and 3 by REN

Please react to Falling In Reverse - “Last Resort (Reimagined)”. Yes you have reacted to the original but this version is worth its own reaction.

Can you do XXXTentatcion - I Spoke To The Devil In Miami

OK!
A long one!! But I’ve thought about this a lot…
.
A little perspective (as I see it)
.
MG1= “The Overview”
Ren:“The Establishment”.
Protected by the poncho as it rains on society, “invisible” to the unseeing, but there’s a storm coming.
.
Sets the scene while "We " play along, blind and obeying orders (that’s Romain btw) Head covered by a moneybag!
.
The “Donald Trump interlude”… Border, immigration, hate speech, etc… composed in 2019? Some have trouble with that part! (Undeniable, and things are still bubbling in 2024!)
.
Reference to Politicians who seem to be “against each other”, but are actually members of a single “club”, with the aim of perpetuating their own “benefit” (“There’s no “Left”, there’s no “Right”, in the middle we sleep”)
.
The “colour of the tie” doesn’t matter.
So long as the “other colour” is the “bad guy of the moment” and while they keep factions in the population opposing each other, their “political club” is safe.

Then, “We” (the population) gain awareness (Eyes) and we see the system for what it is.
.
Something has to give.
Choices…
Either those in control burn “us”, or the protection (poncho) is removed, the “storm” arrives and the system “burns”
(Revolution… To be continued)

MG2: “The Method”
Sets the scene, reminds us of the historical context.

Mentions disdain for the current system.
(Remember that “revolution” I suggested? The fire at the end of MG1?
Number 10 Downing Street? Burning? This theme also appears in “Animal Flow”)
.
The rest is self explanatory (and genius btw!)
.
But… Note there’s a full spectrum of political ideology painted as the problem, NOT one specific “colour of tie” … “No Left, No Right (MG1)”
.
As he said
“it don’t matter if they hate you if they all say your name”
(Although… “We” might be seeing through that one in 2024?)

MG3: “The Personal perspective” (Or the Metaphor?)
.
Ref MG 1… “Turns a Saint into a Sinner, a Child into a Killer… His finger on the trigger”
Hi Jimmy.

Ties the “Method” to the “System”
High IQ child (genius?) Corrupted by the system (which had also corrupted his father!) to the point of being a “sinner” and a “killer”…
.
Also draws the parallel to end of MG1…
.
Jimmy unprotected from the rain, with “everything” but “nothing”
The saint… now a sinner, having no way out.
A “personal” ending mimicking the MG1 “societal” ending?
.
Did you notice the subtle twist in the monologue when he switches the common “mantra” (by some) that the “Sheep” are those who Cooperate, to “the sheep” being those children trained (indoctrinated?) to join the club of “GIMMIE”…?

THIS MIGHT annoy some… but over the next 12 months… Watch out…
(Coughusachinacough)
(imo)
Anyway!
.
The guy’s a bloody genius!

Great reaction. About time, you nailed this one.
That our REN.!!!
Renagades Roll :heart::heart:
:uk::england:🇬🇧👍:clap::clap::clap::clap:

Get in the habit of pushing that pause button when you want to say something, don’t talk over the performance.

Amazing reaction, was waiting for this. Count me for votes for Dominoes and Troubles soon

Glad you reacted to all of these together. This was sooooo good

Man, I really want to see you dive into his past catalog some. Songs like Crutch & Dominoes would be great to see your reaction.

Wonderfully detailed reaction with very helpful insights
Appreciated your thoughts

One of the best reactions to this trilogy I’ve seen. I loved your analysis.

Always love hearing your insights! Your reviews are so valuable to all! Would love to see a reaction to Chinchilla 1:5. Powerful song of pain and longing.

I think we all want to see your reaction to Troubles❤

Pause to talk!..

 great reaction - Thanks

Taylor, thank you for opening my eyes on these 3 songs. I looked at them as society, governmental, and then personal involvement in the strive for money, greed and fame.
You gave me a deeper perspective as to how each version affects everyone.

If you want another ren song that is in the same vein as the money game trilogy, check out crucify your culture. Same type of subject matter :purple_heart::purple_heart::blush:

You were the first reactor that I see that understood the faceless meaning on part 1. You are amazing!

I’ve watched this hundreds of times and i cry as soon as i hear those strings every time!:heart:it sounded familiar to you bc it’s the same tune from the 1st two money games:blush:Ren is a creative genius.

He is so talented but I can’t help but see and hear Tommy Shelby from Peaky Blinders.
