Therapist reacts to Alice in Chains Nutshell

Don’t follow it’s another heartbreaking song

Drugs are a hell of a drug… its very easy to self isolate in the throws of addiction… and people get tired of your shit and even if they care about you they leave you… everybody leaves… RIP Layne…

“Down in a Hole” from the same session is just as powerful as this track.

Amazing Band

Wait until you go down the Chris Cornell rabbit hole!!

Your channel is awesome. Thanks for sowing Laynes beauty. I wish I could have hugged him too. My favorite writer singer of all time. It’s OK to cry.

Lane was so sick from his battle with Heroin in this they almost had to cancel the rest of the concert. The fact that he was able to perform at this level was a gift from God to all of the fans.

Like the comment said, this is as close to singing at your own funeral you’ll ever come.

Welcome to the AiC rabbit hole. I wish you well on your journey. “This feels like depression in my body”. Yep, the man had demons he didn’t feel like he could get help with. It sucks. We lost another good one there.

Taylor who can I cry too.

You should check out their song “Bleed the freak”

Hope this leads to more Layne Staley reactions. Alice in Chains and Mad Season. PLEASE

This concert was heartbreaking because Layne knew he was dying during Would Layne looks back at Jerry and Jerry just smiles back at him

Please check out the cover of this song by City And Color / Dallas Green

Please listen to “Down in a hole” from these guys. I’m crying just waiting to hear what you think. In my mind, a perfect description of depression. I listened to this at my lowest (very low). It actually helped me.
Thanks😢

He died a few months later of a speedball coke and Heroin mixed Layne knew he was dying at this concert This is Layne’s song to a T

Lane Staley died 2weeks before I was gonna see them live… still one of my favorite bands of all time… Type O Negative is another…

This unplugged show was so depressing. Layne is far gone on heroin. In this song, he is saying he wants to be dead.

There are accounts suggesting that Layne Staley expressed fear and reluctance about dying during his final years. In particular, one well-known story comes from Mark Lanegan, a close friend and fellow musician, who was one of the last people to have any contact with Staley. According to Lanegan, Staley had become increasingly isolated due to his struggles with addiction. In their last conversation, which occurred sometime before Staley’s death, Staley allegedly said something along the lines of, “I’m not doing well, I’m really scared, and I don’t want to die.” This statement reflected his awareness of the severity of his situation and his fear of what might happen if he couldn’t overcome his addiction. However, this was not at the exact moment of his death, and no one was present with him during his final moments. This account comes from a conversation that happened before his passing, highlighting his fear and desperation in his final days.

Legit makes me cry but i always this unplugged is a masterpiece … AIC with Layne were one of the first few bands i really got into. Them , STP and Metallica ere my favs back in the early 90s

Five finger death punch… coming down… it’s a great song ab. out feeling lost enough to commit suicide. Worth a listen and watch the video!!!

Layne Staley had the perfect voice and tone for this band and this era. It’s ridiculous how good he was. The only singer from this era that I’d put above him is Chris Cornell. They both left us far too soon.
